MEET GARY GULLER

An Inspiring Journey of Triumph

Gary Guller’s life story serves as a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the human spirit. Gary Guller is known for surviving a catastrophic climbing fall on Pico de Orizaba in Mexico, a mountaineering accident that claimed the life of his best friend and eventually led to the loss of his left arm. Following his life-changing accident, Guller embarked on a path of self-discovery and resilience. He refused to let his physical condition define his life. Instead, he turned to the world of mountaineering, a decision that would change his life forever. Despite his challenge, Guller was determined to climb the world’s tallest peak, Mount Everest.

Gary Guller’s journey towards conquering Everest was not a solitary one. He was surrounded by a team of dedicated individuals who believed in his dream and shared his passion for adventure. The road to Mount Everest was long and arduous, filled with physical, financial and emotional challenges. Gary Guller and his team faced harsh weather conditions, treacherous terrains, and the constant struggle against their own physical limitations. But they persevered, inching their way closer to their dream.

Gary made international news when he succeeded to the very summit of Mt. Everest and became the first person with one arm to stand on top of the world! Six weeks prior to this, he was the expedition leader of the largest cross-disability, most diverse team ever to reach Everest Base Camp, at 17,500 feet. Since Everest, he also summited Cho Oyu (world’s 6th highest mountain) and completed the insanely difficult Marathon de Sables, believed to be the toughest footrace in the world. Gary completed the ironman 70.3 Hawaii, and recently, he took a beating in a endurance race in the ICA desert, Peru.

Gary Guller’s remarkable journey didn’t stop at Mount Everest. He went on to become an accomplished motivational speaker and author, sharing his story of triumph over adversity with the world. His motivational talks have inspired countless individuals to overcome their own challenges, no matter how insurmountable they may seem. In addition to his speaking engagements, Guller is the author of the book “Make Others Greater,” which offers insights into his life experiences and the lessons he has learned along the way. The book focuses on the importance of teamwork, leadership, and resilience, drawing on his own mountaineering and adventure experiences as powerful metaphors for life’s challenges. Gary was also featured in the award winning documentary, Team Everest: A Himalayan Journey.

Gary Guller has demonstrated philanthropic efforts and a commitment to various charitable causes throughout his life. Guller’s commitment to Nepal has made a profound impact on the lives to many individuals. His hands-on involvement and his dedication to improving healthcare, school supplies and educational facilities continue to assist those in the remote Himalaya.

In recognition of his incredible accomplishments and contributions to society, Gary Guller has received numerous awards and honors. He continues to be a source of inspiration and a shining example of what can be achieved through determination and unwavering commitment.

Gary Guller’s life story is a testament to the indomitable human spirit. MARATHON DES SABLES

MARATHON DES SABLES MOROC
The Marathon des Sables is a 6 day, ~158 mile (250km) endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. At 250 km over 6 stages, the race was referred to by CNN as “The hardest stage race in the world. Known simply as the MdS, the race is a grueling multi-stage adventure through a formidable landscape in one of the world’s most inhospitable climates – the Sahara desert.” The rules require you to be self-sufficient, to carry with you on your back everything except water that you need to survive. You are given a place in a tent to sleep at night, but any other equipment and food must be carried. Temperatures can reach 120°F around midday. Given those facts, Gary Guller completed this grueling race finished in 65 hours, 25 minutes.

MARATHON DES SABLES PERU
Gary Gullers newest challenge, the MdS Peru. The MdS Perus is a 250 km endurance race with 7 days of racing in 6 stages and all competitors are food & self-sufficient. We’ll discover the most beautiful South-American desert. Gary will race in one of the world’s driest regions, with huge dunes and sandy plateaux perched between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes cordillera. “Our country is astonishing…its heart beats can be heard throughout South America. MDS PERU is the new challenge!” Isabella Falco Scheuch, Director of ProPeru.“ “My goal is simply to reach the finish line “says Guller.” Thank you to each and everyone of my clients & sponsors for their continued support – I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Together – Anything is Possible.
